Visite dansée, bénéficiaires de l’AMAPEI

Since 2009, the NMNM has developed a policy of welcoming people with disabilities through adapted visits and workshops. The museum receives regular visits from AMAPEI, a center for the mentally handicapped in Monaco, as well as students from ULIS classes (Localized School Inclusion Units).

Since 2013, collaborations with Arrimage, an association for the visually impaired and the Institut Clément Ader in Nice, have enabled the organization of audio-described visits, supplemented by the reproduction of works in model form, in relief and in sign laguage.

Ultimately, since 2019, a collaboration with the psychiatric services of the Princess Grace Hospital Center has enabled regular visits to the museum for hospitilized or monitored patients from the Mobile Psychiatry Unit, – the Rose Garden. In this framework of exchange and sharing which characterizes the museum’s approach to mediation, it has been essential to develop proposals that can accommodate all audiences.
