Voyage under the see
5-day workshop
Monday July 8 to Friday July 12
8 – 12 years old

Based on the works of Miquel Barceló, each participant invents a creature and imagines a story evoking the underwater world and ancient myths.
This workshop explores the artist’s favourite techniques (painting, drawing, embroidery), culminating in a collective installation.

After observing the plants in the Villa Paloma garden, children are introduced to botany and wild harvesting by artist Eve Pietruschi.
The workshop will close with a snack for parents and children at the Régulus, Guillaume Aubry’s new architectural sculpture.

Sauber’s herbarium
4-day course

Villa Sauber’s gardens are brimming with endemic and exotic species.
Budding botanists collect different plant species and create a herbarium using three techniques: sketching, watercolor and collage.

From touching to drawing, children discover costumes and accessories from “la collection voyageuse”, made up of fabrics, embroidery, headdresses and accessories from the Monte-Carlo Opera’s costume collection.
This two-day workshop is an opportunity to learn large-format graphic composition, with a view to staging a play.
