This major monograph on the internationally renowned Gilbert&George, conceived and designed by the artists themselves, provides a fascinating insight into their lives and work.This volume, produced on the occasion of the exhibition at Villa Paloma, Nouveau Musée National de Monaco, is dedicated to “two people and one artist” – Gilbert and George. The retrospective gathers more than 60 artworks all belonging to a single private collection of stunning quality and number of works (including rarely seen early drawings) that document four decades of life dedicated to art, shared thoughts and social commitment. Gilbert&George themselves chose the artworks, designed the exhibition and supervised the concept of the entire show.
