Visits which have been adapted for the visually impaired public are proposed for each exhibition at the Villa Paloma. They fall into the framework of an accessibility policy desired by the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco for those in the situation of visual handicap, which has been rendered possible by the partnership with the Association Arrimage – éditions Claude Garrandès in Nice.
The perception of artworks by this type of public is possible by way of audio-descriptive visits which permit the construction of mental images. This initial approach is often accompanied by the tactile discovery of the artworks themselves with the aid of gloves or reproductions in the form of paper embossments or resin models.
The visits are organized in presence of the exhibiting artist or with the curators of the exhibition as shown in the photographs of the recent visit on the 15th June 2017 for the exhibition Hercule Florence. Le Nouveau Robinson with the artist and co-curator Linda Fregni Nagler.
